No accounts
MSPaintWoW has no sign up and no login. We don't ask for your email or anything else about you. The only place you can give us a name is the feedback form, and that's optional.
Feedback
When you send feedback we keep what you typed, the name or gamer tag if you gave one, the page you came from and your browser type. We also keep a scrambled version of your IP address that changes every day, so we can stop spam. The IP itself is never stored. Want yours deleted? Email us.
If we put your idea on the Requested features list, only a title we write goes public. Your message and name stay private. When you upvote something we keep a scrambled version of your IP with the vote, so each person counts once.
Stuff saved in your browser
Things like your faction pick, which mechanics you've ticked off and your gear ladder picks are saved in your browser's local storage so they're still there next time. That data stays on your device and never gets sent to us. Clear your site data and it's gone.
Ads
The site is paid for by ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on those visits.
You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of a lot of third party ad cookies at aboutads.info. More on how Google handles this is in how Google uses data from partner sites.
If you're in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you'll get a consent message from Google the first time you visit, and you can say no to personalised ads there.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which guides people read. It uses cookies and gets things like the pages you view, your rough location and your browser type. It doesn't tell us who you are. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt out add on.
